Rakesh Sukesh.
Rakesh Sukesh, a versatile artist hailing from Bharat (India) and currently residing in Belgium, is a multifaceted performer, choreographer, teacher, and producer. Rooted in yogic philosophy, a tradition passed down through his family, he completed his yoga teacher certification at the Shivananda Yoga Centre. With a rich foundation in dance education acquired in India, Rakesh specializes in Kalaripayattu and contemporary techniques under the guidance of Jaychandran Palazy and Dil Sagar. He further honed his skills in improvisation composition under the mentorship of Katie Duck and David Zambrano.
Presently, Rakesh is actively engaged in performances with acclaimed groups such as Ultima Vez, Roosana & Kenneth Company, and Bollwerk. Noteworthy choreographic contributions include productions like “A Dream of Silence,” “Yatra,” and “May Us Bless the I.” Anticipated in 2024, his solo production “because I Love Diversity” explores micro-attitudes and promises a premiere at Push Festival.
Over a span of 14 years, Rakesh developed the Intact Method-Interconnected dance practise, garnering global acclaim by seamlessly blending yogic principles, Kalaripayattu, and contemporary dance. Holding a Master’s in Arts and Culture Management, Rakesh co-directs the international dance festival Sanskar and serves as a curator for the Dance Screen film festival in Switzerland.
